- As we’ve noted this week, some of CM Punk’s frustration had to do with being booked against Triple H in a match at WrestleMania XXX. Word is that Punk felt that a program with Triple H is not a “big feud and a big match” when he’s stated numerous times that he wanted to main event the biggest show of the year.

Regarding Punk’s future with WWE, it’s said that Vince McMahon wants Punk back but Triple H has mixed feelings on the situation. Triple H reportedly feels disrespected by Punk but is letting Vince handle things.

I disagree, the storylines suck so far, I mean “What is best for business?” Orton vs. Batista is not! Triple vs.Punk is not, the fans are not stupid and nor is CM Punk, I hate to see him go, but something has to be done if this is the 30th Anniversary of WM and the card is as weak as it is, Triple H fighting Punk makes no sense and Sheamus vs. Bryan is even worse. It doesn’t benefit Punk at all, just HHH getting that spotlight one last time.

    ah, appreciate it

Laughing at some of the comments on here. People always moan about the product in WWE, the misuse of talent

& they should stand up for themselves. Then when someone makes a stand, you all call him a whiner and a crybaby etc … Like none of you would walk out of a job if it pissed you off that much.

Night of champions 2011 I believe, think it was a nothing match with a run in ending from miz and truth

If Vince McMahon and HHH really wanted to be a–holes they could sue Punk for breach of contract. Fortunately for everyone’s favorite crybaby Vinnie Mac seems to be a classier guy than Punk.

One does not “let” Vince handle things. Vince does what he wants Trips…

Yea, bc just like Austin he’s just making excuses and acting like a doucher. It wasn’t right when Austin did it and same goes with Punk. Punk has a contract to do a job, never does it states he gets his own way and has to main event every single ppv and it’s not like the ratings boosted when he was champ. I’ve seen countless guys that are jewed over and still do their job; Bryan, Christian,Cessaro, Ziggler, Ryder, etc and they don’t just up and quit.

  • Kristopher Robinson

Zig glee handles it, Ryder handles it, Bryan handles it, Christian handles it, etc., what makes him so special? I understand he works hard and he is a great wrestler, but he still has a contract and still has fans that go to shows for him. If every great wrestler has this attitude, then there wouldn’t be a business.

If CM Punk wasn’t such a whiner and a cry baby when he doesn’t get what he wants, and acts like a real man, this wouldn’t have happened.

did they ever have a match? I know they had some back and forth and Punk faced Nash

If WWE management had “handled” this situation the right way he wouldn’t be gone. It should be Punk vs Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WMXXX. Booking CM Punk against Triple H at Wrestlemania is as stupid and creatively bereft as booking Austin to lose to Brock Lesnar in a QUALIFYING round of the 2002 KOTR tournament. Austin left cause he couldn’t take the crap, and so did CM Punk. Ironically enough, it was Triple H running his mouth the most on TV about Austin “taking his ball and going home.” My guess is that he probably had a had in some of the booking too.

In this case it seems to me to be Triple H trying to find a random excuse to shoe-horn his way into a meaningful match at Wrestlemania just so he can be on the card. That match would do nothing for CM Punk at all.

I don’t think he should have left before Wrestlemania. I say go ahead and do that match, get your WM paycheck, take your final bow knowing this is it, and then leave.

  • D2K

    Yup, pretty much.

Problem is, how else is he supposed to handle it? Go through with a match he doesn’t want to be a part of, while Bryan faces Sheamus, and Orton vs. Batista gets booed out of the building by fans that actually care?

  • Kristopher Robinson

Yea, but I don’t care what anyone says, Triple H is still a great talent to go up against. I understand what Punk is saying but I feel he’s handling it the wrong way.

Didn’t the CM Punk vs Triple H program run its course a year ago? I wouldn’t want to see that again.
