I remember something he said a few months ago (may have been a similar tweet or in an interview, not sure), where he said that he is as much to blame for where his career went in WWE as Vince and WWE are.
It takes a guy with a true mind for the business to understand that as much as we know WWE is great at failing to capitalise on some talents, the talent themselves have to push to do or not do something.
The likes of Punk and Bryan for instance pushed to get to the top. Had they just accepted everything WWE creative gave them, they would likely have been in the same position Cody was in.

It’s not to say he would necessarily have achieved more, but at least he would have known he tried.

Now he knows that his stock is much more valuable as he has now pushed, just on his own terms.

Both posts are correct. Cody knows what he did and knows what he’s doing. His bridge hasn’t been burned.

Cody Rhodes has done well and I knew he always had the talent. He is putting ROH on the map. Yes we all knew about ROH but Cody Rhodes is bringing it up to be at least number 2.

I don’t think Cody Rhodes is finish with the WWE more then likely he finishes his career in WWE. Heck by time he back in WWE HHH will probably be in charge which mean Cody Rhodes can be himself which will make him more successful.
