Concern backstage regarding Vince McMahon ruining NXT storylines with imminent main roster call-ups

NXT has some of the best storylines WWE has to offer, but Vince McMahon can always change any story whenever he wants to by calling up superstars from NXT to the main roster. It has happened quite a few times this year itself.

Vince McMahon called up Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and The Viking Raiders when they were all champions and thus changed all their storylines in the process.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that due to the Smackdown Tag Team Titles being vacant at the moment and there not being many options of who to place the titles, Vince McMahon might once again make some huge changes.

“Shane’s going to be all over SmackDown with this tag team tournament thing — I don’t even know if they’re going to do a tournament because they’re gonna announce… because on SmackDown they’ve got two teams. One’s Heavy Machinery who haven’t even been on SmackDown and the other is Rusev and Nakamura. Then the other teams are the B-Team and the Colons, right? So unless they switch someone over which they may do or bring someone up […] because I know there are people who are afraid that Triple H’s storylines are going to get messed up again because Vince McMahon is going to want to bring people up again.”

Vince McMahon can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He has the last say in anything that goes on in the company. We might be seeing these changes on the upcoming episode of Smackdown Live, so things will certainly be interesting.
