BodySlam.net reported yesterday that WWE will be bringing back the Saturday Night’s Main event as an occasional special and it will be split between Fox and NBC as part of their new TV deals.
After this, rumors also started circulating that NXT could be moved to TV as well and speculations suggested that it could be aired on FS1 instead of WWE Network.
However, during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about these reports and claimed that his sources tell him that this story is not true.
According to him, people on both WWE and Fox’s side have denied the show’s revival and he has been told that there won’t be any ‘added wrestling programming’ under the new TV deals.
The same thing was said about NXT and while Meltzer noted that it could happen in future as it makes sense, he was told that currently there is no chance of the show airing on TV.
