Conflicting Reports on Rob Van Dam’s WWE Status, Backstage News on Dolph Ziggler’s Future

– There are conflicting reports on the status of Rob Van Dam. PWInsider recently reported that RVD had 90-day blocks in his WWE contract where he would work for 90 days, take some time off and then return for another 90 days.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that RVD was buried on the September 23rd RAW because that was the internal reaction to him not signing a new contract yet. The Observer adds that RVD’s contract is up on October 1st but he’s scheduled to work another week or so past that.

– Regarding the plight of Dolph Ziggler, word is that officials don’t believe he will ever be a guy who draws money.

The thing is not everyone has to draw money and be the main guy, for every john cena, there needs to be an edge, for every hulk Hogan a Paul Orndorff and so on and so on. Just cause they don’t see him being able to draw money that doesn’t mean he wont be an arch nemeses to the guys they think can, especially considering how good he can make there top draws look.

People will moan about this with Ziggler….but they will also be the same people that want Rhodes, Ambrose etc to be in the Main Event picture, move on from it, he will be an Upper Mid-Carder

Del Rio is a huge draw for the Mexican demographic.

    But Del Rio will?
The only thing ‘wrong’ with Ziggler is he isnt one of Vince’s projects so wont get the same treatment Ryback or Del Rio would, even when the crowd love him 10 times more.
