Couture Wants Suitable UFC Challenge Or Retirement

Randy Couture is known for many things, American mixed martial artist, Greco-Roman wrestler, actor, a three-time former heavyweight champion and a two-time light-heavyweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Couture is the first fighter to hold two UFC championship titles in two different divisions (heavyweight and light heavyweight).

But now, Couture has recently explained he may retire if he does not get a suitable challenge against either Lyoto Machida or light heavyweight champion Mauricio Shogun Rua.

Couture has recently been more focused on his acting projects outside of the UFC, which includes a sequel to the “Expendables” and a movie with Bruce Willis and 50 Cent called “Set Up”.

Couture spoke about the possibility of his retirement and what would put him back in the octagon:

“I think I’m done. The time is right. I’d fight Machida or Shogun but outside of that, I wanna focus on other things in my life. If [the UFC] offered me Shogun or Machida, I’d take the fight. Otherwise, I think I’m done. [I’m] gonna focus on acting and the businesses.”
