Drake Maverick, the General Manager of 205 LIVE, appeared backstage before this week’s Monday Night RAW to make an important announcement ahead of this week’s cruiserweight show. Maverick announced that the Cruiserweight Title will be defended at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Cedric Alexander, the current Cruiserweight Champion will defend his title against Drew Gulak at Summerslam.

Drew Gulak defeated Mustafa Ali, TJP and Hideo Itami to secure a shot at the Cruiserweight title and became the new number one contender for the championship. Gulak, a veteran submission specialist, has been a fan-favourite and hasn’t been in the title picture since forever.
