Daniel Bryan discusses sacrificing family time for his career

Daniel Bryan recently talked about missing his family and some important moments in a video posted to The Bella Twins’ YouTube channel.

In the video, Bryan said:

You know it’s uh…it’s so good to be back doing what I love. But…It’s also really hard. It’s a blessing and a curse.

We were in Saudi Arabia and I was gone from home for ten days, home for three days, now in Europe for eighteen days. You add all that together and in the last month I’ve only been home for three days.

I missed my baby’s first birthday, I missed her saying “dada” for the first time. I got to see it on FaceTime. And I missed Mother’s Day.

This is the first time in my life where it’s been like… before when I was on the road or when Brie was on the road, we missed each other. But it’s a different feeling than the very visceral feeling you get when you miss your baby. There’s this weird juxtaposition of the things you miss versus the things you gain when you do something like this that you love.

It’s all about finding a balance, you know. So that’s what I’ve got to work on, finding the balance.

While Daniel Bryan has finally returned to the ring so much, sadly, that means missing out on big family moments. Here’s hoping that the Leader of the Yes Movement can find that balance he’s searching for.
