Daniel Bryan on hating SmackDown General Manager role

Daniel Bryan was brought back to WWE TV after being forced to retire from active competition as the General Manager of SmackDown Live following the brand split.

However, in the previous interviews, Bryan had talked about how he hated being the SmackDown GM as it meant being at ringside but not being able to wrestle.

During his appearance on Talk is Jericho, Bryan touched this issue again and said that he literally disliked going to work every week:

I literally disliked going to work every week, and any time – like there would be times where I’d fly in, and I’d get the script for the show, and if I just had like a backstage I’d try to like I would push as many people as I could to be like ‘hey, let’s get this’. Just so I could get out of there.

Apart from this Daniel Bryan also revealed that getting evaluated after every match was his own idea and talked about how he hasn’t discussed his schedule with the company yet.
