Prior to his departure from the WWE, Big Cass worked as Daniel Bryan’s first one-on-one feud since his return to in-ring competition. The pair faced off against each other at Backlash and Money In The Bank before Cass was released a few days after MITB.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Bryan took time to praise Big Cass, saying that he really enjoyed wrestling the giant.
I really liked wrestling Big Cass. I thought he progressed a lot in the time that we were working together, and so, I honestly wish him the best of luck. I like him a lot as a person and as a wrestler, so I hope he does very well.

Big Cass is set to make his return to the independent scene on September 21 with Big Time Wrestling where he’ll wrestle under the name “Big Cazz.”
