– Both Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan have been fined “an undisclosed amount” following a chairshot to the head during their Street Fight match on this past Monday’s RAW. The particular spot saw Orton holding up a chair in an attempt to block Bryan’s suicide dive through the ropes.

The WWE story features a quote from WWE Executive/Superstar Triple H, saying, “We don’t allow chair shots to the head in WWE. We understand it was in the heat of the moment but we take this very seriously and as a result, Orton and Bryan were fined.”

Orton also reacts to the fine amount saying, “Trust me, it was enough.”

WWE released a statement in 2011 relating to chair shots being used by superstars;

“Pursuant to WWE’s Concussion policy, the stunt of using a folded metal chair shot to the head is prohibited. Triple H and The Undertaker have both been fined for violating this policy at WrestleMania XXVII. WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension for violation of this policy, which is unchanged and still in effect.”

it’s still real to me, damn it!

  • ANTSFSOLDIER

i am curious however how rob van dam is gonna do his signature spots withhout a chair

  • ANTSFSOLDIER

people bitching about this isnt gonna change anything i mean if u want chair shots go watch tna

  • D2K

The answer is pretty self-explanatory. No need to dabble in semantics.

  • Scooter

I agree but on the flip side what if it was the person taking the chair shot who decided to be a hero and not put their hands up and the person giving the shot was under the impression they would protect themselves.

  • Mike Wells

So you think Cena is more untouchable than HHH?

  • D2K

Yes, but what does that have to do with fining the person that GOT hit? That’s the whole point. In the heat of the moment things happen.

There is no logical reason to fine the person getting hit unless it was proven to be a mutually-agreed upon spot before hand. Simple as that.

  • Matthew Farrell

I’m sure if it were Cena nothing would happen.

  • Scooter

Then the person using the chair is a dick for not calling it prior.

  • D2K

What if the person getting hit is not expecting that spot?

  • Kristopher Robinson

    That’s alittle extreme.

  • Will Henderson

the chairshot to the head should be a suspension for the person using the chair. and the person who took it will get fine.
