Daniel Bryan’s Father Passes Away

– WWE announced the following today:

“WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan’s (Bryan Danielson’s) father has unexpectedly passed away. Bryan was made aware of his father’s passing after returning from his honeymoon with Brie Bella. Despite the news, Bryan has insisted on performing for the WWE Universe tonight (April 21) and will be on Raw. WWE extends our deepest condolences to Bryan and his family.”

I feel like the beatdown Kane put on him was something he was able to do, which didn’t require his full concentration, and could potentially be used to write him off for a couple of days if he needs to go to his dad’s funeral.

It was a nice, easy segment for Daniel, which served the purpose of reviving the Kane character. All of you complaining about it need to remember that literally 2 weeks ago, everyone was complaining about Kane “Not being dominant enough”, or “Not seeming like a threat to anyone”… So, they fix that, and you complain that Kane looked too powerful?

I don’t think it was WWE’s intention to make Bryan look bad on purpose, after his father passed away. I think it was just their way of putting heat on Kane as this crazy, destructive, dangerous monster and also advancing the storyline between these two going into Extreme Rules. It was also a way of writing Bryan off of TV for next week that way he can spend some time with his family and go to the funeral and whatever.

Never an easy thing to go through, but how damn proud must he have been of his son! Bryan got to share an amazing ride thus far with his father
