Welcome to the WWE Money In The Bank kickoff show and we are live on the WWE Network. Our host for tonight’s show is Renee Young with our Superstar panel made up of Booker T, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. The show starts off with a Dusty Rhodes tribute. Neville is seen arriving at the show and he said that he’s ready for tonight. Few words from the man that gravity forgot.
A video package for the Kevin Owens – John Cena matchup. Booker T brought up Owens’ background on the indy scene and said that it’s time Owens gets paid.
A video package for the Nikki Bella vs. Paige matchup.
WWE then shows a tale of the tale for this big guy vs. giant match. Ryback cuts a backstage promo about his upcoming match with the Big Show. He promises that he’ll retain his championship.
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are shown talking in the back. Reigns said after tonight, he’ll tell Ambrose when he’s cashing in the MITB briefcase.
A video package for the Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose matchup is shown.
Stephanie McMahon joined Renee Young from the backstage offices. He said that no Authority members will be at ringside for Seth Rollins match tonight. She said that Rollins knows that risk of losing the Championship when he accepted this match with Ambrose.
R-Truth cut a promo prior to the match promising to dethrone King Barrett.
Kickoff Show Match: R-Truth vs. King Barrett
Truth with a trip takedown, he landed a big right hand and then worked over the arm of Barrett. However, Barrett nailed him with a headbutt but missed a clothesline sending himself to the floor.
Back from break with Barrett in control of Truth. Barrett with a superkick to the gut of Truth and then a big boot for a near fall. Barrett missed the Bull Hammer, Truth off the ropes and rolled him up for the win.
Winner: R-Truth.
There is an amazing Dusty Rhodes tribute video package shown. Kevin Owens is interviewed by Tom Phillips backstage. He said he has no fears, he has not disrespected John Cena and he’ll beat John Cena tonight.

MITB Ladder Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Neville vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus vs. Kane
All of the Superstars start brawling, Kofi grabbed a ladder and tried to get the brief early, but then Superstars noticed and pulled him down. Then each one of them attempts to climb the ladder. Sheamus dumped Orton to the floor, Kane and Sheamus are the only ones left in the ring. Sheamus took him out with a clothesline. Sheamus started to climb, but Kane knocked him down. Kane caught Ziggler, he went for a chokeslam but blocked and Ziggler hit a DDT. Ziggler started to climb, but Sheamus knocked him down and hit the white noise. Sheamus with a running knee to Reigns and then Kane. Sheamus sent Orton into the barricade. Kofi started to climb the ladder, but Sheamus pushed him off and he crashed and burned. Sheamus with a clothesline to Kofi, he set up a ladder in the corner. Sheamus went for white noise but blocked. Kofi with a series of kicks, he hit a springboard move but caught. Neville with a springboard drop kick to Sheamus. Kofi took out Neville with a forearm shot. Kofi hit Sheamus with Trouble in Paradise. Neville nailed Kofi in the jaw with a kick. He started to climb while Kofi did the same. Reigns shoved them both off, he pushed the ladder into the face of Neville. Kofi attacked him from behind, he went for a neck breaker, but blocked. Reigns power bombed Kofi on the ladder set up in the corner. Neville with a shoulder block to Reigns. He went for a move, but caught by Reigns, who power bombed Neville on top of Kofi, who was on the ladder. Reigns climbed, but Kane choke slammed him off the ladder. Orton hit an RKO to Kane. Orton hit an RKO to Kofi as well. Neville hopped onto the ladder, but Orton pulled him off and hit an RKO in mid-air to Neville. Orton and Sheamus battle on the top of the ladder. Orton pulled him with with a back breaker. The two men exchange right hands, Sheamus Orton face first into the ladder then hit the Brogue kick. Ziggler and Sheamus battle on top of the ladder. Ziggler switched to Sheamus’ side and hit a Zig Zag on Sheamus. Neville followed it up with the Red Arrow on Sheamus. Neville and Ziggler started to climb the ladder, Neville

Kane popped up to hit a big boot on Ziggler and Neville. Reigns took him out with a superman punch. Reigns then hit a dive over the top rope taking everyone out. Big E and Xavier Woods ran down to the ring to put Kofi in the ring. They tried to help Kofi win, but Reigns took them out with a drop kick. Reigns pulled Kofi down when he hit a powerbomb over the top rope taking everyone out except Randy Orton. Orton went for an RKO, but blocked and Reigns hit a spear. Bray Wyatt ran into the ring and pushed Reigns off. He then hit Sister Abigail to Reigns.
Sheamus crawled into the ring, he climbed the ladder, but Neville started to climb the ladder. They exchange right hands on the top of the ladder, but Sheamus shoved him down by his hair. Sheamus got the MITB.
Winner: Sheamus
Paige cut a backstage promo about her upcoming match with Nikki Bella. She promised that she’ll win the title tonight and go on to make a change in the Divas division.
Divas Championship Match: Nikki Bella © vs. Paige.
They lock up, Nikki with a series of shoulder blocks. Paige reversed and kicked her in the face several times. Paige sent Bella to the floor then hit a front senton off the apron. Bella sent Paige face first into the barricade. Bella drove Paige back first into the apron. Back in the ring, Bella hit Paige with a snap suplex. Bella with a headlock, but Paige rolled out and hit her with a running knee for a near fall. Bella cut her off with a clothesline for 2. Bella went for a splash in the corner but missed. Paige with a running knee to the face of Bella. Paige then locked in a chin lock, but Bella got to the ropes. This leads to Nikki hitting an Alabama slamma for 2. Paige with some back elbows, she went for the PTO, but Nikki kicked Paige off. Paige kicked her in the back but ran into a back kick for a near fall. Nikki went for the rack attack but blocked and Paige hit the RamPaige for the near fall. Paige put Nikki on the top rope, they exchange right hands. They both hit each other with a forearm, they fell off the apron. Brie came out from under the ring to trade places with her. Brie rolled her up for 2, but Paige reversed the pin attempt and got the pinfall. After the match, Brie started saying that she’s not Nikki. Paige with a superkick to Brie, Nikki hit Paige with a wicked forearm shot then the rack attack for the win.
Winner and still champion: Nikk Bella.
The Miz walked out, he played to the crowd before heeling it up by saying that he moved away from here to go to Hollywood. He said that soon he’ll become the next Intercontinental Champion. He joins commentary for the next match.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Ryback © vs. Big Show
Ryback with a spine buster to begin the match, he went for the Meat Hook clothesline and hit it. He then went for the Shell Shock but blocked. Ryback clotheslines Big Show over the top rope to the floor. Ryback then grabbed Miz and threw him into Michael Cole. Back in the ring, Big Show speared Ryback. Big Show then hit a power slam to Ryback. However, Ryback blocked a punch and locked in an armbar, but Big Show got his left leg to the bottom rope. Ryback with a big boot then a suplex. Ryback with a big splash for a near fall. Ryback went for the meathook clothesline, but Big Show caught him with a chokeslam for a near fall. Big Show missed the KO punch and Ryback went for the shell shock. Big Show blocked and hit a KO punch to Ryback sending him to the floor. Big Show sent Ryback into the ring, Miz jumped Big Show and hit him with the microphone. Big Show wins by DQ.
Winner by DQ: Big Show.
Singles Match: John Cena vs. Kevin Owens
Michael Cole says that this match has a big fight feel to it. Cena hit a shoulder block on Owens to start the match. Owens with an uppercut, he locked in a chin lock on Cena. The fans are split and according to Cole, “thunderous.” Cena fought out and hit a shoulder block to Owens. Owens with a drop kick followed by a back splash for 2.
Cena with a series of shoulder blocks, Owens cut him off and did the same. Owens with a side slam then the five knuckle shuffle. He went for the AA, but blocked and Cena tripped him. Cena with the STF, but Owens manages to make it to the bottom rope. Cena hit a reverse DDT for a near fall. Owens popped up, he hit the codebreaker for a near fall.
Owens went for his powerbombed but reversed and Cena hit a side slam. Cena hit the five knuckle shuffle, Cena went for the AA, but blocked and hit a German suplex. Owens with the rolling cannonball for a near fall. Cena fought back with right hands, Owens cut him off with the white nose move for a near fall. Owens went to the top rope, hit went for a swanton bomb, but Cena put his knees up. Cena lifted Owens up, he hit a front face splash to Owens for a near fall. Cena went for the AA and hit for a near fall.
Cena put Owens on the top rope, he went for an AA, but Owens blocked and hit a spin out powerbomb for 2. Owens went for another powebomb, but Cena reversed, Owens cut him off with a big boot for 2. Cena with a back elbow, Cena with a DDT for a near fall. Cena went to the top rope, but missed a leg drop. Owens with an inside out powerbomb for 2. Owens went for a moonsault, Cena hit the AA for a near fall.
Cena attempted a suplex on Owens while standing on the middle rope, but Owens reversed it in mid air to hit a brainbuster for a near fall.
Cena tripped him, he locked in the STF, but Owens got to the bottom rope. Owens shoved Cena away, but Cena kicked Owens in the gut and then hit a sunset flip into a roll up. Cena ran at Owens and Owens hit a powerbomb for a near fall. Owens with some stiff right hands. Cena fired back with some of his own, Cena botched his springboard stunner then hit the AA for the win.
Winner: Cena.
Post-match, Cena gave Owens his NXT Title. They shook hands, Cena raised the arm of Owens. Owens kicked him in the gut, then power bombed him on the apron. Owens then took the U.S Title with him to the back.
Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose backstage. Ambrose cut a promo about how he’s been screwed over and over, he’s tired of it. He will stand up and take this WWE Championship away from Seth Rollins tonight.
There is an amazing Dusty Rhodes tribute video package shown. The New Day cut a rambling promo prior to the match about how they don’t suck and they’ll show everyone this when they beat the Prime Time Players.
Tag Team Title Match: The New Day © vs. The Prime Time Players
Darren Young and Xavier Woods start things off, Woods with a back elbow to the jaw of Young. Big E tagged in, he hit a belly to belly suplex for 2. They double team Young in the corner then Woods gets the hot tag where he nailed a drop kick to Young. They double teamed Young until Big E misses a spear and O’Neil got the hot tag. O’Neil cleared house when he got the tag. O’Neil hit a splash in the corner on Woods then hit a shoulder tackle for a near fall as Big E broke it up. Young on the apron was speared by Big E to the floor. Woods rolled O’Neil up for 2. O’Neil hit a powerbomb for the win.
Winners and NEW Champs: The Prime Time Players
WWE announced that Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt will take place at the Battleground pay-per-view event in five weeks.
Triple H gave Seth Rollins a pep talk backstage. He told Rollins to show everyone that he’s the man of the WWE.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match: Seth Rollins © vs. Dean Ambrose
A slow start to this one, Ambrose worked over the left arm of Rollins. Rollins sent Ambrose to the floor, he went for a dive, but Ambrose threw a ladder in the face of Rollins. Ambrose started to climb the ladder, but was pulled down by Rollins. They both attempt to climb the ladder, but Ambrose ended up sending Rollins face first into the ladder. Ambrose power slammed him on the ladder then dove off the ladder with an elbow drop on top of Rollins. Ambrose clotheslined Rollins to the floor.
Ambrose climbed the ladder, but Rollins grabbed a chair and hit Ambrose in the knee with it. Ambrose fell to the ground. Rollins targeted the injured left knee of Ambrose. The fans got behind him, as Rollins climbed the ladder and Ambrose pushed him off of it. Rollins with an up kick then sent the ladder into the face of Ambrose. Ambrose threw a chair at the face of Rollins, he then knocked Rollins off the top rope then hit a sick clothesline turning Ambrose inside out.
Ambrose went for a clothesline, but was kicked in the face, Ambrose no sold it and hit a clothesline to Rollins. Ambrose went for Dirty Deeds, but Rollins rolled out of the way. Rollins tried to escape through the crowd, Ambrose chased him, but Rollins reversed and sent Ambrose into a barricade. Rollins then walked back to the ring, he went for a ladder, he set up at ringside. Ambrose took him out with a dive over the announce tables. Back in the ring, they exchanged right hands. Rollins ran at Ambrose, but Ambrose back dropped Rollins over the top rope onto the ladder that broke in half.
Ambrose clotheslines Rollins over the spanish announce table. Rollins went for a pedigree on the table, but blocked and Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds to Rollins on the announce table that doesn’t break. Ambrose climbed the ladder, but Rollins took him out with a TV monitor. Rollins with the pedigree to Ambrose.
Rollins began to climb towards the championship, but Ambrose grabbed his leg. Rollins went for clothesline, but missed and went flying to the floor. Rollins sent Ambrose face first into the ladder then hit a powerbomb on Ambrose into the barricade. Rollins did it for a second time. Rollins then piled a bunch of chairs on top of a ladder, he then powerbombed Ambrose on them. Rollins climbed the tall ladder in the ring, but Ambrose ran at him. He climbed the ladder, Ambrose grabbed the title, they fight over it and both men come down, but Rollins has the title when landing. Rollins is declared your winner.
Winner and still champion: Rollins.
Rollins celebrated in the ring with the title to close the show.
