- MVP defeated Karl Anderson to advance in the New Japan Cup in Tokyo this weekend. MVP will be facing Togi Makabe in the second round.

- As noted before, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch is expected to be announced as the next member of the WWE Hall of Fame on tonight’s RAW. Sunny teased “something big” happening today on her Facebook page.

- WWE star David Hart Smith has been named the Assistant Coach in the Scientific Wrestling certification program under Catch As Catch Can wrestling legend Billy Robinson. It was noted on Cagesideseats.com that DH probably won’t be teaching due to his WWE schedule but that he has become a very good grappler.

Bret Hart wrote the following on Twitter regarding the news: “Congrats to Harry on becoming an assistant coach to Billy Robinson. Stu and Davey would’ve been proud.”

    wow. dh is definitely suited for success in the wwe. too bad he doesnt have a “marketable look”. thats what i always think when a good mid carder has not been utilized. hopefully the wwe will use him down the line but stuff like that never happens. i mean, can anyone think of a wrestler who has been not used in the past for some time only to find more relevant air time later? i cant.
