As seen on WWE RAW this week, Triple H attacked Roman Reigns during his match with Sheamus in the main event. Triple H smashed Reigns’ face into the announce table several times. Once Triple H stopped, Reigns was bleeding from his nose.
There is footage of Byron Saxton handing something to Reigns, and this led to online speculation that Saxton gave Reigns a blood capsule or a blade. WWE.com reported that Reigns underwent surgery on Tuesday in Tampa, Fla. to repair his shattered nose.
Saxton did indeed give Reigns a blood packet. Reigns then presumably bit it, and the blood went all over his face. Reigns did not get injured as it was a planned spot. However, Reigns did have a pre-existing nose injury, and he did undergo nose surgery on Tuesday to repair it.
It’s said that WWE plans to book more edgy product from now until WrestleMania 32.
