Dixie Hypes Tonight’s Slammiversary, Impact Wrestling No Longer Airing Live

– With TNA’s Impact Wrestling going back to the 9pm – 11pm EST timeslot, all future Impact broadcasts won’t be airing live as it happens. From now on, when taped on the East coast, Impact will air on a two hour tape delay and when taped in the Central time zone, will air on a one-hour delay.

– TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted the following about tonight’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Remember to join us tonight for live coverage.

“To every TNA fan, THANK YOU! Thank you for 11 great years. The journey has been great, but we’re just getting started #Slammiversary TONIGHT”

if TNA doesn’t want to do live Tapings anymore, why not just go back to the old “Monday and Tuesday night tapings” format where they film the first two episodes on a Monday and the next two on Tuesday and then so on and so on. i guess it’s more expensive to be fully live then to pre-tape hours in advance. i guess that explains why Raw is the only live wrestling show on TV now, because WWE can afford to broadcast Raw live. and they rather tape the rest of the week’s show on Monday and Tuesday for an airing on Wednesday, Friday and the weekend.

I was really starting to like the vibe of live impact…so much so that I preferred them to RAW. Lets see if this brings the product down or not.

Shame the live Impacts were generally better than the taped ones. Maybe just because we never knew what to expect but it definitely seemed like a better show when we never knew the results before hand
