EC3 gets fired after Feast or Fired match in latest Impact tapings

It looks like trouble trouble trouble trouble trouble trouble trouble for EC3, as the former world champion was the unfortunate winner of a certain briefcase.

During tonight’s Impact tapings, EC3, Moose, Eli Drake, and Petey Williams came away with all four briefcases during the Feast or Fired match. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the match, the briefcases contain one of the following:

-Impact Global Title shot

– X-Division Title shot

-Tag Title shot

-Pink slip

Former global champion Eli Drake grabbed the tag title shot, while Petey Williams got the X-Division case. Moose’s case contained the global title shot, meaning EC3 was left with a pink slip.

The Top Man didn’t leave easily, however. After learning his fate, he said it wasn’t his case, it was Ishimori’s. He refused to open the case, so Jeremy Borash did the honors.

“I’m not done just because I picked a case in a silly outdated match,” said Carter. “I’m the backbone of the company. I don’t get fired over a briefcase! I’m a Carter!”

Rumors of EC3’s leaving have been around for a while. Last month, he acquired the trademark for the EC3 name, all but confirming that he wasn’t going to stay with Impact much longer.

Could the former Derrick Bateman be heading back to the WWE, following the steps of stars like Drew McIntyre? We’ll have to wait and see.
