ECW on SyFy Report – August 25th, 2009
Report by PWInsider, Richard Trionfo

We start off with a look back at the entire ECW match coverage from Summerslam, and then in the remaining 55 seconds of the opening segment, we see the beat down after the match.

We are live from Phoenix, Arizona and your announcers are Matt ‘Eight Second Man’ Striker and Josh ‘Welcome to the home of Raw the day after the real 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania’ Mathews.

William Regal comes out and he is joined by the Bromance of Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson. Regal has a mic and he is going to address the fans. He says that everyone is looking at the reason why ECW as they know it is never going to be the same. For weeks, Kozlov and Jackson were playing a game of one-upmanship that everyone thought would lead to a confrontation. Regal says that the fans lack the creativity and imagination as well as the influence that he possesses to shock the world and unite these two physical specimens. He addresses Christian and he says that the countdown clock on his title reign is almost at zero.

Christian is not only listening, he is coming out to address Regal’s comments. Christian says that the only thing reaching zero will be the number of people watching if Regal keeps talking. Christian says that Regal has forgotten to mention that Regal has lost an ECW title match. Christian points out that it was a Summerslam record breaking eight seconds.

While Regal tries to talk, Christian keeps saying Eight Seconds. Regal demands a rematch or they can make Christian regret the day that he won the title. Christian calls Regal ‘Bill’ and he tells Bill, but Bill doesn’t like being called Bill because it is a name for a commoner and he should be called William. Christian calls him Bill. Christian says that he is ready to move on to other challengers.

Tiffany comes out and she makes sure to stop before she speaks. Tiffany says that it is time to stop talking and it is time for action. Tiffany reminds Christian that he took advantage of Regal. Regal will need to earn it. He gets to wrestle Christian and if he wins, he gets another shot. However, if Regal loses, he does not. Tiffany announces the match will take place tonight.
