Edge Responds to Triple H’s Comments on Last Night’s RAW

– As seen on last night’s RAW, Triple H cut a promo at Daniel Bryan and grouped him with Edge, Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho as talented stars who made it but were never “the guy” for WWE.

Earlier we posted Chris Jericho’s response and now WWE Hall of Famer Edge has replied. He wrote on Twitter:

“I think everyone forgets it’s entertainment. Santa isn’t real either. Or the Easter Bunny(I think, rabbits are sneaky) @GioPontiFan @TripleH”

I only recall Edge main eventing Mania once. Back in 2008 with The Undertaker. Which is still a huge deal for anyone.

To me, WrestleMania only has one main event each year and that’s the last match on the card. I never understood how there can be 3 to 4 main events at a given show. “Main Event” implies 1 singular match. Edge has headlined several Manias but I’m fairly certain he only ever closed 1 of them.

Exactly. I hate when ppl overreact when someone is compared to cena in anyway, its obvious what you meant, and even more so that edge is a better worker, but Cena is and was a bigger draw than edge sadly, that doesn’t Automatically mean Cena is better in the ring than edge was, because he isn’t, im sure Cena would be the first to admit that as well.

Yes I am. If you noticed I didn’t compare their in-ring abilities but rather their star-power. I like Edge but I don’t think anyone can make an argument for Edge being a bigger draw than Cena.

Are you seriously comparing edge to cena? Seriously?

Edge was never the FACE, but main evented Mania numerous times and a multi time champ

I think Edge might’ve missed the point of the promo. Everyone knows it’s just entertainment but HHH’s jibe was how Edge never reached the heights of guys like Hogan, Austin, Rock, HBK, Bret, Cena, etc. Edge was never the main focus of the company. Some might take that as a criticism of their abilities as an entertainer but I get the feeling Edge is a cool guy and doesn’t that kind of stuff too seriously.
