Ember Moon had a good run in NXT, winning the NXT Women’s Championship. Fans were excited about her main roster call-up. But unfortunately, she hasn’t been used all that well. She’s lucky to be even seen nowadays. Barring a few instances, she never displayed her full potential.
She spoke to Planeta Wrestling, where she discussed the glass ceiling she thought was in NXT. But would go on to say how much she has changed since she started her pro wrestling career as Athena.
“I think for me personally it started on the independent scene where we kind of struggled and roughed it for a hot dog and a soda all the way up to when I got signed at NXT and I thought that was kinda like the glass ceiling for me. I was NXT Women’s Champion and then I got drafted to Monday Night Raw.”
“It’s crazy to see people posting photos of what I used to look like and what I look like now. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ I don’t even recognize me from like 10-15 years ago. It’s crazy, it’s awesome. I take more risks now as you guys can see and I’m not afraid to.”
She would mention how she is content with how she is on RAW and wouldn’t change about her journey in professional wrestling. While still waiting for a big push, she is glad that she no longer has that glass ceiling hanging over her.
