Eric Bischoff open for manager role in WWE

Eric Bischoff appeared on the Sky Sports Lock Up podcast and discussed a number of professional wrestling topics. Among them, he talked about making a possible return to the WWE. Below are some excerpts from the interview.

The former President of WCW believes that an authority figure is something that he has done in the past in hoth WWE and WCW and he has other ideas if he ever returns:

“I would love to do it if it was a situation which would work for everybody, a character like mine, there is only so much you can do from a storyline perspective. You can be that heel authority figure which I was for a few years in WWE and WCW, and it’s interesting and it’s fun but after a while you’ve kind of done everything you can do creatively.”

Bischoff said that his character could work as a manager for a young talent who is lacking in mic skills:

“I’m pretty realistic about the value my character has now. I’d like to manage someone, a young talent that maybe doesn’t have the mic skills. I think that would be fun because I can still get heat.”

I could see him doing a couple of things. One, going up against a “Paul Heyman” guy, and playing off the WCW/ECW connection. Bischoff just gets a guy to work with to take a pop at Paul, but does not really care about his client.

Another idea would be to manage a group rather than one guy.

Oh yeah, lets all live in the past and let a young talent go.

  • Kristopher Robinson

Him as a manager would actually be a good idea. Not sure who I’d stick him with though

  • ROB-1.

Bring him to Smackdown Live, let Paige go. Always liked him in WCW!
