Ex-Writer Talks About Ending Undertaker’s Streak, WWE Salute Achilles Freedom Team

– During an interview last Friday with the PWTorch Livecast, John Carle, who worked for WWE as a creative writer from 2006 to 2009, revealed how serious the company was in ending The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.

When asked whether there was any consideration for The Undertaker losing at the event, Carle said, “Yeah, we (the creative team) kind of talked about it. It was one of those things that was pitched, but it never really came to fruition.”

Taker to win the rumble and then the title at mania and mania to end with the lights going out and the gong sounding and the undertaker disappearing one last time

To me Undertaker can do what ever he wants. I don’t think if it matters if his streak were to end at WM. I think IWC would be upset if the streak ended but not me. I mean really you think one lose going to kill his leacy. No all good things come to an end when it happen that will tell you that is it for the Undertaker.

  • Taker should retire. Possibly have a WM match as guest referee for a change. I grew up watching wrestling since ’88 and Taker was my favorite for a very long time.

I would like him to go out with a bang, something akin to his “rest in peace” promo post yokozuna casket match.

He could win a casket match against punk, then post-match the shield attacks taker, opens the casket, seals in the taker and pulling out punk.

    Lights go out.

(taker crawls out a trap door , goes under ring and pre-taped in the coffin promo plays).

At the end, the druids and paul bearer come out, bring casket to the ramp, and it immolates in flames.

Yeah he’s done more than enough for the business. Just give him a proper send-off. Maybe one more big storyline and WM match and then a send off that fits the gimmick.

I agree with a heyman guy. there is nothing left for him to do and no one left for him to beat. as much as i would like to see him beat cm punk i think taker should retire now before he gets himself crippled. his body is starting to get too beaten up

  • a heyman guy

he should retire right now! we dont need him again. hes done enough! sure itd be great for tv/ppv but enough is enough. im one, if not the biggest taker fan, and id be happy watching him ride off into the sunset now.

they should let taker retire with streak intact
