Fans blast WWE for promoting Hulk Hogan merchandise prior to his return

After making an appearance at the Crown Jewel PPV, Hulk Hogan made his comeback to the weekly WWE programming during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Before Hogan’s return to the show, WWE decided to promote his return and plug in some merchandise, a move that seemingly backfired on the company.

WWE shop’s official Twitter account made the following tweet before yesterday’s episode of the Red Branded Show, asking fans to get their Hogan gear before his appearance:

However, fans recalled the controversy that got Hulk fired in the first placed and blasted the company for trying to make money off the situation in the thread:

It’d be interesting to see if Hulk Hogan makes more appearances on the weekly WWE programming after this return and how the fans react to it.

I feel you have missed the joke.
The guy I’m saying this about is assuming that everyone annoyed by Hogan is a “mark”, based on the fact they reacted to something emotionally, yet this person is regularly in the comments here reacting emotionally.

  • Soulshroude

It was “emotional” for the simple fact that there is an “!” exclamation mark at the end of the statement. Grammar school is strong with this one.

  • Soulshroude

***Applause*** very well stated. I also used the term “snowball” in the wrong context. Though you are still correct in that I’m not angry, nor agitated in any way. People are such “marks” and “trolls”. The internet continues.

By the by… my first statement was NOT an opinion. It IS a fact. It WAS a eulogy, and he (Terry) and Gene WERE best friends.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

Quid pro quo: snowball vs kid. A username is just that, chummer. No need to be clinical about it.

  • gar216

Again, you are assuming that someone is somehow distraught by your comments. It’s a poor arguing strategy.

  • Keith Learmonth

It’s funny that I’m getting called “Kid” by the guy who has a username that sounds like a bad OC from Vampire: The Masquerade.

  • Keith Learmonth

You have to understand, I’m not seriously emotionally invested in the definition of “snowflake”. Calm down.

  • Luke

^ that was also an emotional comment…

  • Armitage Soulshroude

Again… It was a eulogy, I don’t care what pissant gave it. Kid.

  • gar216

There wasn’t an inflated sense of uniqueness, a sense of entitlement, nor did he appear to be offended. He simply stated his opinion. If anything, your comments seem to fit the definition of a snowflake.

  • Keith Learmonth

How? The guy’s getting all angry over inconsequential things like “people having opinions”, while having opinions himself.

Also, it was used sarcastically to point out how silly the whole situation is.

  • gar216

    Used snowflake wrong

  • Keith Learmonth

You seem angry. Perhaps you should stop being such a hogan mark snowflake, and get over the fact that most people don’t care about the guy.

  • Steven Stevens

If you don’t like Hogan you hate America and want the terrorists to win.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

Y’all are still marks for even commenting emotionally. Thin skinned f*cks!

  • Armitage Soulshroude

It was a f*cling eulogy. He and Gene were best friends. Get a grip, thin skin.

  • And then that speech. It’s like he knows nobody cares about him so he has to bring up dead guys we do care about to get cheap pops.

  • Keith Learmonth

I mean, it’s pretty low to try to cash in on his merch when he’s supposed to be there to remember Mean Gene. That’s the only reason he was there. Stop using Gene’s death to push Hulk’s merch.
