Fans Name Greatest WWE Champion of New Millenium, The Rock Comments on WWE Studios Role, More

– WWE’s website has an article listing the 15 greatest pay-per-views of all time. WrestleMania 17 with Steve Austin vs. The Rock topped the list, followed by Money in the Bank 2011 with CM Punk vs. John Cena, Royal Rumble 2000 with The Rock winning the Royal Rumble plus Triple H vs. Cactus Jack and WCW Spring Stampede 1994 with Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat. WrestleMania III with Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant plus Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat rounded out the top 5.

 


 

– As noted, The Rock has been in talks for an upcoming role in a feature film version of 80’s TV series The Fall Guy, which will be co-produced by WWE Studios and Hyde Park. The Rock tweeted about the role:

“The unknown stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter.. Fired up to play the role. Cool, bad ass & fun #TheFallGuy”

– WWE’s website recently held a tournament determined by fans featuring Superstars who have held the WWE Title since January 1st, 2000. John Cena beat out The Rock, 71% – 29%, to be named Greatest WWE Champion of The New Millenium.
