WWE has 12 PPVs listed on their website. That’s one a month. And that’s at least 8 too many – probably 10 or 11 too many. As I said below, I think this PPV is “must-miss” TV. Another commenter says he is “not feeling the excitement.” WHY SHOULD we get excited by a PPV when we know that there’s another one a month away. WWE PPVs run almost as often as buses do. “Well, I’ll just catch the next one.” And then WWE expects fans to drop 45 dollars to watch it in standard definition or 55 dollars (or more) to watch in it hi-def. By the time you add taxes and user fees and franchise fees etc etc., each PPV (at least in California) can run up to 70 dollars. What makes WWE think I’ll drop over 800 dollars a year to watch PPVs that are no different from what I can see every Monday nite on RAW AND every Friday nite on Smackdown for “free” (just normal cable charges)?????

Lots of unused talent, including tag teams, that could have been used in elimination matches. I’m thinking there aren’t enough heel tag teams right now…

Not feeling the excitement. This feels rushed and not much effort has been put in.
I miss the old survivor series when the survivor matches had actual story and depth. Not just guts chucked together.

This seems like another raw to me. May just see what happens on raw.

It really pisses me off that Alberto Del Rio has been in every World Heavyweight Championship match since last January

Maybe. But because of his “Christmas movie,” they really can’t give much of a heel push to Miz ’till after the Holidays. As for Kofi, you’re right.

This sounds like “must miss TV.” Nothing here we can’t and don’t see in any given RAW. PPVs USED to be special events worth spending my hard-earned time and money on. Not so much so now. Taking away the 30 to 45 minutes worth of “this is what you saw on RAW and Smackdown for the past month,” and after eliminating the 30 to 45 minutes of advertising WWE products and upcoming events and PPVs, it comes down to this.

WWE Title Match. Big Show, will beat up on Randy Orton for 7 minutes, then The Shield will be sent in from the back (probably by HHH – and if “creative” does it right, this causes a rift between HHH and Steph – when Vince returns, does he support his little girl, or the man he picked to be his successor?) to save Orton.

World Heavyweight Title Match. Del Rio will attack Cena’s arm and seemingly injure him. Cena will battle back against overwhelming odds and retain his belt.

5 on 5 Match. This is my pick for the best match/setup of the evening. It’ll come down to Cody Rhodes and Golddust, setting up a feud between the two. Done right, it’ll culminate in a match next year at WrestleMania.

7 on 7 Match. Beer and restsroom break/softcore no T&A – ’nuff said.

WWE Intecontinental Title Match. I like the push Big E is getting. Big E retains his belt.

Erick Rowan/Luke Harper v. Bryan/Punk. Didn’t we see this Friday nite on Smackdown? The Match will end with the usual 3 on 2 beatdown, and Bray Wyatt botching his finisher on Punk.

There, I just saved you 50 bucks or more.

It looks like the Kickoff Match is the beginning of another heel push for The Miz and the continued burying of Kofi.
