– WWE’s final SmackDown and ECW taping of 2009 will take place on December 29th at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.
– Word coming out of WWE is that they decided to keep the Intercontinental Title on John Morrison at Hell in a Cell because they didn’t want to do just a short title run with Morrison. At one point there was a plan to have Ziggler take the title.
– According to WWE’s corporate website, the pay-per-view buys for this year’s SummerSlam is 375,000-380,000. This estimate was made on August 31st, just eight days after the show so it’s possible the number is higher. Last year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view drew 500,000 buys.
