Finn Balor on what he learned from his injury

The first ever Universal Champion Finn Balor recently had an interview with In This Corner podcast where he talked about the injury which forced him to relinquish the Universal Championship. Below are some the highlights from his interview:

Speaking about his career Balor explained how he had been running for 16 years without having the opportunity to realize what he was doing before the injury:

“For 16 years, I was running at 100 miles per hour by being all over Europe, Japan, coming to NXT, and not even taking a breath by going to the main roster, beating Roman Reigns on my first night and won the title two weeks later against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam on my first pay per view. It was such a whirlwind, I never had the opportunity to sit back and say to myself that I am really doing it.”

Talking about what he learned from his injury, Finn said that everybody struggles with their own limitations and he learned to believe in himself:

“We all struggle with our own limitations, We can say we believe in ourselves and we can say that we think we can do it, having gone through what I went through at SummerSlam and taking me to the next level, it gave me the confidence in myself and that has been the key factor in what has changed since I debuted on Raw. Now, I really believe in myself. I mean, I always believed in myself; but there’s always those lingering doubts in everyone’s mind where you question yourself a lot more than other people would.”
