Foley Headed to SmackDown, Orton Injury Update, Punk-Ryback

– We noted last week that Mick Foley revealed a WWE Superstar asked for permission to use one of his signature moves. Foley says is he headed to tonight’s SmackDown tapings to pass that move on. Foley tweeted after RAW:

“Heading to #Smackdown in Bridgeport tomorrow, specifically to pass an iconic Foley offensive move down to a current @WWE Superstar.”

– PWInsider confirms that there was some kind of injury to Randy Orton’s wrist at WWE’s Tribute to The Troops tapings on Sunday. No word yet on the severity of the injury but this is why Orton didn’t work last night’s RAW. Orton is advertised for tonight’s SmackDown tapings so we should know more later this evening.

– As noted, WWE officials are still planning on doing Ryback vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title. In an update, that match is currently scheduled for the January 14th RAW from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. WWE will be celebrating RAW’s 20 anniversary that night so they are giving Ryback vs. Punk a big stage.

If u think Punks really injured, u gotta be kidding me. Ryback didnt even attack his leg. I still think its a bad idea though Ryback is an insult to Goldberg and wrestling. The Shield is amazing and they will probably be short lived like McMahon always does. Nexus was amazing and what have they been since they separated? Nothing, Barrett done, Otunga done, Gabriel done…Rybacks the only one and he even was done and recreated by the geniuses of the WWE writing board. I think that the Rock match will be amazing if Punk wins because the WWE title is in the hands of a fighting champion. Cena should win the Royal Rumble and there should be a triple threat at Wrestlemania 29! Cena vs. Rock vs. Punk and Brock vs. Undertaker would make this Wrestlemania one of the greatest ever! WWE needs to make me a part of their creative team for real

WWE is so stupid. They’ll have no one but themselves to blame when Ryback injures Punk before the Rumble and 7 months of build up gets thrown out the window.
