Karo Parisyan’s fall from grace continued Thursday, as Canadian wrecking machine Ryan Ford toppled the once highly touted Judo practitioner in the main event of MMA Live 1.

The bouts early goings favored Parisyan, who secured multiple takedowns and controlled the pace of the bout despite eating a few heavy shots. The third round however, saw a full shift in tides. Less than 90 seconds into the third frame, Ford landed a brutal knee that opened a nasty cut on Parisyan; prompting a doctor’s stoppage.

Parisyan (19-7-0-1) has now dropped three of his last five bouts. Ford (15-3) meanwhile now rides a three fight win streak that includes a submission victory over Pete Spratt.

In other action, Marcus Aurelio (21-9) got back in the win column with an armbar submission over Matt MacGrath (10-6) in the evenings co-main event.
