Former Champion from TNA makes NXT debut

We noted before how former TNA Star Gunner was teasing to join NXT through a tweet last month. Now the former TNA TV Champion has finally made his debut for the Development Territory of WWE.

As a fan noted on Twitter, Gunner made his in ring NXT debut during a recent NXT Live Event from St. Petersburg, Florida, and was apparently built as Chad Lail:

During the event, Gunner faced NXT Star No Way Jose. Unfortunately for the former Champion, his stint with NXT began with a loss as Jose defeated him in a one on one matchup.

It’s currently not known if the former TNA star has officially signed a contract with WWE, though considering his tweet last month it’s the most likely scenario.

Now it’d be interesting to see how WWE usage their newest signee and if Gunner is able to follow the footsteps of fellow TNA Alumni and become a star in WWE like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles.
