Former Trainer Chooses Silva Over Vitor For UFC 126

Famed Brazilian boxing coach Luis Carlos Dórea, who will coach alongside JDS on the latest installment of The Ultimate Fighter as the boxing coach on Team Dos Santos, tells the Brazilian media that he believes Anderson Silva is the better fighter coming into their UFC 126 title bout.

The former Belfort trainer talked on the UFC 126 title fight in a recent Brazilian interview, giving his thoughts on the upcoming middleweight showdown between Vitor Belfort and Anderson Silva, both fighters of which he has training experience with:

“I’ve trained Vitor, I like him, he has a privileged technical condition, but Anderson is on a better moment. He has fought five-round-fights many times and he’s technically pretty good too, he has the power on his hands. It’ll be the fight of the century, and the good thing is that both athletes are Brazilians. Vitor has a great technique, but Anderson’s a phenomenon. He can punch you walking forwards of backwards, when he’s defending himself or counter attacking. Vitor is talented on Boxing, but Anderson is better conditioned than him.”
