Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Arrested On Identity Theft and Forgery Charges

Former WWE performer David Cash (a.k.a. Kid Kash), 40, was arrested Tuesday on charges of identity theft, forgery and theft of property, reports www.TimesNews.net.

Specific charges against the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion include two counts of forgery under $500 and four counts of theft of property under $500. The identity theft and forgery charges are felonies while the remaining theft charges are misdemeanors.

According to police, the arrest stems from Cash using the credit card of a female acquaintance of his on four separate occasions without permission. He used the credit card twice at a convenience store, once at a car wash and once at a White’s grocery store. The charges totaled less than $100.

Cash, who had the credit card with him at the time of his arrest, admitted using the card and claimed he had permission from the woman to use it.

Cash was arrested in Johnson City, Tennessee, where he lives, and is being held at a county detention center on $10,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, January 4, 2010.

Cash was released from World Wrestling Entertainment on September 27, 2006 following a brief run with the Cruiserweight Championship. He had been teaming with Jamie Noble as “The Pit Bulls” at the time of his release.
