Gail Kim Insists She Quit WWE, Knockouts Lobby For Her To Return To TNA

Gail Kim insisted Friday on her Twitter account that she quit WWE on Monday and was not released.

“I didn’t ask for a release. I QUIT,” she wrote to TNA Wrestling performer Lisa Marie Varon (a/k/a Tara). “Lol meaning I don’t want their money I’d rather be freeeeeeee haha.

She commented further, “I don’t know but I’ve been telling them since Monday I quit. So either they have control issues or they’re in denial.”

WWE, however, has yet to announce that she has been released from the organization. Regarding their lack of announcement, she wrote, “Future endeavor message? Ok here it is: I wish the WWE the best in their future endeavors!”

Varon is lobbying on Twitter for Kim to return to TNA Wrestling, where the Canadian grappler presided as the first Women’s Knockout Champion.

“Super excited to hear about Gail asking for her release. TNA TNA TNA!!!!!” she exclaimed. “Oops I mean Impact Wrestling! Impact Wrestling! Impact Wrestling!!!!”

Christy Hemme, who appears as a ring announcer for TNA, is also lobbying for Kim to return.

“What!??!? Come back to TNA then!!!” she wrote after learning of Kim’s departure from WWE. “Love seeing all the excitement for Gail Kim. My fav bad ass female wrestler makes life on her own terms!! Of course she does!!”

Kim says she is glad to leave WWE, calling it “the best thing ever.”

“Everyone sounds upset or sad or me it’s the best thing ever. Now my life can begin. All the negativity is gone and control over my life. No one can hold me down but me now!”

Gail Kim should have never left TNA. Oh well, I suppose she thought they(WWE) would use her right the second time around, but she struck out.

Gail Kim is an idiot. Never burn your bridges with a former employer, ever.

And personally I find it very funny that she left TNA to go to WWE because they paid her more money, and now she’s saying that WWE is horrible; but it was her decision to go there in the first place–she should have stayed in TNA.

@poko. Tna could have melina maybe she can screw up one of the male superstar theres career or sleep through the locker room then get fired.

  • poko

I won’t deny that I’m excited. Gail Kim could be exactly what the Knockouts division needs. If they could get Melina, then wow.

  • Good-Bye Biatch

Gail needs to shut up. You don’t just quit when you’re under contract, then its a breach of contract. Maybe she should actually shut up and do some research. I’m sure she’ll get out of her contract, but it won’t be as easy as she thinks.

While she had tha ability, she never had the attitude. She always thought she was bigger than she was. Just a prima donna that thought she was better than everyone else.

I knew her when she lived in Toronto and she’d always blab about how she was going to be bigger than Trish because she was hotter. I rolled my eyes then, and still do now every time she opens her mouth.

Go back to TNA and when you end up hating it there, then what? Good riddance to her…maybe TNA can teach her how to be entertaining.

@bloodstone Well said my friend, couldn’t have said it better myself. Good luck Gail! Hope to see you in Impact.

@Valo487 For the divas? TNA pretty much is an improvement. At least they actually use more of their divas and they aren’t just a shadow. ‘Nuff said.

  • adam

Thats because she thinks tna is going to be sooooooo much better. Gail this isnt 5 or 6 years ago when you could have great rivlaries with awesome kong and i think that was the only really good wrestler on the tna knockout division. I mean right now tna is doing the same thing wwe did play into the barbie doll with having most of hte focus on brook adams and velvet sky and anglina love. They focus on what looks good but has absolutly no skill like those three.

  • bloodstone

Gail Kim tells it the way it is and she gets put down for it really? if this was cm punk everybody would love it find it a bit funny .

  • Valo487

I don’t care if someone wants to leave WWE, but to act like TNA is an improvement is a joke.

    glad Kim is now happy!

I am glad to see her leave because she was talented and misused, but I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to burn the bridges with WWE. Going back to TNA, she will be broke and want to make more money sometime again.

  • Centerman

Gail was just a shadow (not even really there) in the WWE. She’s better than that. One of the handful of females there that had legitimate skill. Good luck to her.

  • Paton

Kim knew what she was getting into. She did it for the money and now she has enough money she makes out that she she was unhappy.

  • Seth

Wishful thinking Adam. You think all the sudden the Phoenix or Natalya is going to get a title run? They might be heels again, but like every Diva program, it will be short lived.

I have no problem with Gail’s comments. If you had been held down for, what three years?, you’d be hard pressed to take the high road when you left.

  • adam

I like gail kim but she is acting kinda immature. I mean she is a good wrestler and wwe misued her but she was there once before she had to realize it would prolly happen again. Plus when she left tna for wwe she made statments like this that its the best thing ever going back to wwe. She just can’t make up her mind what company she wants to work for. As good as she was i still think the wwe diva division is on a upswing with natlya and beth pheonix getting the spotlight. I also think morrison will get a huge push now that the distraction of melina is gone morrison can get to the next step.

Twitter make EVERYONE look immature. Just the same as Facebook, MySpace, and every other social media site Like those out there. I dunno but to me they all just seem like crap a 15 year old girl would be using.

  • road dogg

Sounds like a horrible place to work

  • Justin

As much as I like Gail Kim, I wish she would just take the professional high road and stop blabbering on Twitter. There’s a way of expressing hard feelings, but celebrating like a high school girl who just dumped her boyfriend (and having other high school girls cheer her on) is just annoying and trivial.

Twitter is making just about everyone in wrestling look immature.

thats what everyone says when they get fired….
