Gleison Tibau to Replace Cody McKenzie at UFC 130

TUF 12 cast member, Cody Mckenzie has been forced to pull out of his UFC 130 bout with Bart Palaszewski. However, the UFC has already found a last minute replacement, as UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Gleison Tibau has verbally agreed to step in for the injured McKenzie.

Tibau last fought about six weeks ago at UFC 128, where defeated Kurt Pellegrino via split decision. With the win over Pellegrino, his octagon record is now 8-5, with other key wins over Jeremy Stephens, Caol Uno, and Josh Neer.

Palaszewski is coming off a split decision loss to Kamal Shalorus at WEC 53, but prior to that had been riding a four fight win streak. In fact, that four fight win streak includes a split decision victory over UFC title contender, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis.

UFC 130 takes place May 28th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and is headlined by a lightweight title fight between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.
