Goldberg announced as the first inductee of Hall Of Fame 2018

We noted before how former Universal Champion and former WCW Star Goldberg was expected to headline WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2018 and WWE was likely to announce it soon.

It became official yesterday when ESPN posted the news of his induction early in the day and then WWE confirmed the news once again during the latest episode of Raw.

After the announcement, the former World Champion commented on it saying that it’s hard for him to conceptualize what it’s going to be like but at the end of the day it’s a validation that he’s done something right:

“It’s hard to conceptualize what it’s going to be like, just like it was hard to conceptualize what last year was going to be like after being away for 12 years,” said Goldberg. “It’s another opportunity for me to show how much I appreciate the support and the love I’ve gotten from the fans. At the end of the day, it’s a validation that I’ve done something right.”

As we noted before Bam Bam Bigelow, Ivory, Dudley Boyz and Kid Rock are some other names rumored to become a part of the 2018 Class but are yet to be confirmed by WWE.
