Goldberg reveals original plans for his match against Brock Lesnar

It was a surprise for everyone when Goldberg not only returned to WWE but also defeated Brock Lesnar in a dominating fashion at last year’s Survivor Series.

However, during an interview with Homeland for the Holidays, the former Universal Champion himself revealed that the original plans for his match against Brock were very different.

According to the former WCW Star, originally, he had only agreed to come back for one match and was originally supposed to lose to the Beast Incarnate:

“I only agreed to come back for one match originally. And I was actually going to lose that match to Brock. The night before they came to the conclusion that it might be good for me to stick around for a little while for a couple of reasons and the rest is kind of history.”

Apart from this, Goldberg also talked about a possible WWE return and said that as long as he is alive and can still do his thing, he’ll never say never.

  • Arnold Jackson

As long as his matches are 30 seconds he could do this well into his hundreds lol

  • Kristopher Robinson

    Do his thing?! RRRRIIIGggghhhhtttt

  • Yespage

Either case, WWE never expected him to wrestle, as he can’t. So it went from Lesnar squashing to Goldberg squashing with all the legitimacy of McGregor v Merryfield.
