Gran Metalik asks fans to choose between CMLL and the indies in Twitter poll

Is this a hint by the luchador that he is leaving the WWE?

Gran Metalik recently posted the following poll on Twitter, asking fans to pick between Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) or the independent wrestling scene, with a thinking emoji as a caption.

The poll got over 4000 votes, with 59% of the votes going to “O Independiente” option.

For those who are unaware, Gran Metalik worked in CMLL for a decade as “Máscara Dorada” for most of his time there. He had a very good stint in the promotion, and was a quadruple champion, holding the Mexican National Trios Championship, the CMLL World Trios Championship, the CMLL World Super Lightweight Championship and the CMLL World Welterweight Championship at the same time. He left CMLL to work for NJPW for a year in 2015, but returned to CMLL in 2016.

In June of 2016, Dorada was introduced to WWE as Gran Metalik where he participated in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament where he reached the finals. He would later join WWE in September as part of the cruiserweight division for 205 Live.

He has been in the WWE for two years now, and has never captured the Cruiserweight title. Do you think Metalik should leave WWE and try the indies? Or should he wait for a chance in the 205 Live or perhaps he can be called up to the main roster like Mustafa Ali? Let us know in the comments below.
