New HBO Series for The Rock, MVP Added to WWE’s Website, More

– WWE has added a profile page for former Superstar MVP. He is listed as a “Superstar” and not “Alumni” on the page. MVP’s entrance video has also been added to their official YouTube channel.

 


 

After several followers on Twitter questioned the recent addition, MVP responded, “I have said before & maintain that I remain on good terms with WWE & a return at some point is always a possibility. Thank you for caring!”

– Former WWE Champion The Rock celebrated his 41st birthday on Thursday. Vince McMahon posted a tweet for his birthday, writing, “Happy Birthday to @TheRock who went out on his shield a hero @WrestleMania”

– Rock is getting his own TV series on HBO, according to a report by Deadine.com.

HBO has ordered a pilot for a half-hour “dramedy” produced by and starring the former WWE Champion. The project will “chronicles the lives of athletes – some retired some still active – living in Miami,” including Johnson. The project will be co-produced by Mark Wahlberg, who co-starred with Dwayne in the new “Pain & Gain” film. Filming begins this fall.
