According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Finn Balor was scheduled to defend the Universal Title against Kevin Owens at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) on October 30th. The match was set up to have ended in a way in which it would set up a Triple Threat contest between Balor, Owens, and Chris Jericho for the title at the Hell In a Cell PPV from Boston.
Due to Balor’s injury, however, the title is now up for grabs in a Fatal Four Way match between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Big Cass, and Kevin Owens. Reigns and Rollins were said to be kept out of the title picture for a few months, but with the recent change of events that may change and we may see one of them emerge victorious come Monday night in Houston.
