Former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi had been out of action for most of last year. He suffered a horrendous neck injury in a match against arch-rival Dragon Lee at G1 Special in July. Takahashi landed badly on his neck after Lee gave him a Phoenix Plex.
However, it seems that he is nearing an in-ring return. He had previously said that he will return to action once he is at “1000 percent recovery,” and says that he currently sits at 943 percent.
We hope Takahashi makes his return soon enough. He was one of the best talents in NJPW’s Jr. Heavyweight division and NJPW definitely needs more talents right now.
