IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi suffered a broken neck at the hands of Dragon Lee after a botched spot. Dragon Lee released Takahashi for the Phoenix Plex which resulted in a rough landing for the champion.
Takahashi was evidently shaky post the bump, but went on to complete the match and retain the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
As per Dave Meltzer, despite finishing the match, Takahashi collapsed aftermath the match backstage and was immediately rushed to medical care. Watch the crazy spot below:
