– WWE is now targeting late 2014 for the WWE Network roll-out in other countries after previously looking at late 2014 or early 2015.
– Rumor has it that WWE won’t be announcing a new TV deal this week. They previously stated that we could expect an announcement in late April or early May.
– We noted before that Hulk Hogan was likely added to WWE’s July 11th and July 12th shows in Tokyo, Japan to help boost slow ticket sales as WWE’s popularity in Japan has been down. When the Hogan announcement was made, there was indeed a big rush on ticket sales. This is Hogan’s first time in Japan, at least for a wrestling show, in more than 10 years.
