Impact Rating, Flair Reportedly Denies Request to Appear at TNA Event Last Night

– This past Thursday’s TNA Impact Wrestling on Spike TV scored a 1.27 cable rating with 1.8 million viewers.

– The Ric Flair drama continued at last night’s TNA BaseBrawl event in Brooklyn, New York. Despite being advertised to appear by TNA, and promoted by Don West & Jeremy Borash to the live crowd, Flair did not come out for the fans. Flair did however appear earlier for an autograph signing to VIP ticketholders.

Word going around after the show was that Flair had turned down the request to come out in front of the crowd and left the building before the show was even over.

In other news from the Brooklyn BaseBrawl show, Brother Devon defeated Brother Ray in a Bound For Glory Series match and Rob Van Dam beat AJ Styles in another BFG Series match.

    WWE would job the crap out of AJ. He’d never make it in the WWE.

    @Venom HUH?

    I want AJ and guys like Samoa Joe to go to WWE or ROH. I’d say all the has beens are in TNA, and their taking clear advantage of TNA & those guys like AJ & Samoa Joe.

    @Jay EZ

    Let all of the has beens stay on one show.

  • Jay EZ

    I want some of these TNA guys to jump ship to WWE & Ring of Honor.

    Why does TNA still employ Flair? Can anyone answer this? The guy isn’t a big draw anymore and even if he here, he refuses to attend live events. I think he’s just using TNA as his personal bank account (and so far, Ric Flair: 1 / TNA: 0). TNA claims they are currently profitable, but once they rid themselves of overpaid has-beens (Flair, Hogan, Bischoff, Steiner, etc), they will have a boatload of money to spend where and how they really need it.

    They are really trying their best to push AJ and Joe down to the bottom. What’s this Flair drama? Is he unhappy with TNA or something? I guess I missed something.
