Intercontinental Championship match set for RAW

Seth Rollins announced that he might be planning another open challenge yesterday, causing a handful of stars to step up to the challenge on Twitter. The Architect looks to defend the Intercontinental Championship in London on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Fans expected a UK star to step up to Seth Rollins’ challenge this week. With Pete Dunne responding to Rollins’ tweet, many assumed the UK Champion would step up to the plate. However, it looks like Seth’s challenger will be none other than Kevin Owens.

Kevin Owens said he’ll destroy what Seth Rollins builds or extinguish “whatever he’s trying to burn down,” depending on what phrase Rollins is working with that night.

When it came to a response, the Intercontinental Champion got right to the point.

  • Will Henderson

this was basically a safe choice cause Pete Dunne’s not on the main roster and Cedric Alexander is a cruiserweight which means if you are in that division, you aren’t gonna be apart of the rest of the Raw roster (which lately, the sub-brand of Raw has evolved into it’s on separated brand) and challenge for the Raw Tag Team, Intercontinental or Universal championship.

so in a way, it was always gonna be a Raw main roster heel that is upper midcard/main eventer.

    I would have preferred Dunne.
