– Jack Swagger cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on tonight’s SmackDown to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Swagger appeared in the ring after Edge laid out former World Champion Chris Jericho with a spear. Swagger hit Edge with the briefcase, cashed in and defeated Jericho with the gutwrench powerbomb.
– Edge and Jericho will face each other on next week’s SmackDown to determine the new #1 contender to Swagger’s World Heavyweight Title. Presumably Swagger will defend his belt at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
