Jason Miller Exclaimes “No Way” To Nick Diaz Bout At 178 lbs.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller, one of Strikeforce’s top middleweight contenders, has been in talks with Nick Diaz’s camp about finding a catch weight both could agree upon so they may finally meet up inside the cage after a long standing rivalry. Miller explained, however, there is no way in hell he’ll drop down as low as 178 pounds to bring the fight to the fans.

Miller is already on a two fight winning streak after his bouts against Kazushi Sakuraba and Tim Stout inside the Strikeforce cage and DREAM’s ring consecutively left him with both victories. Now with his next target set on Nick Diaz, he says Diaz must be scared.

“(Nick Diaz) says don’t be scared homey all the time. That’s his tag line. I stole it, it’s mine now. He’s fought so many times at 183, he always fights there. But then when it’s me, somebody he’s talked sh*t about for years, his manager says fight at 178.”

Strikeforce originally wanted the bout to take place in January 2011. Miller replied that there was no way he’d be willing or able to do so explaining, “There’s no way. I was a goddamn skeleton (at 170 in the UFC), it was the dumbest thing I ever did.”

Only time will tell if and when Mayhem will drop any extra pounds for a matchup with Diaz.
