Jim Ross Q&A: Punk vs. Austin, Bullying In WWE?, Cena Controversial?, Kane’s New Persona

– WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated the Q&A section on Here are some highlights:

Who would he cheer for in CM Punk vs. Steve Austin? “Because it would likely be Steve’s last one I’d be an Austin lean. Not likely to ever happen.”

Thoughts on Kane’s new corporate persona? “Willing to allow it to play out and to see how it works for him. It’s got to grow on me and perhaps it will.”

How does WWE handle bullying backstage? “It isn’t condoned by the talent or management. There’s no place for it.”

Is John Cena as controversial as DX or Steve Austin? “I don’t think Cena is controversial. I think he is polarizing. Good man. Hard worker. I’m proud to have signed him.”

Idk about him being a bully, iv nvr really heard that but that doesn’t mean anything, I could see him as being a bully or being similar in real life to the character he plays on tv. But as far as being his friend goes I gotta agree 100% with that, the proof of that is Big E, as soon as cena went away E basically disappeared except for an occasional appearance to job to someone, but as soon as cena returned Big E was all of a sudden granted an IC & a US title shot all in the span of a week. I don’t dislike E but I don’t think he’s where he needs to be yet to be pushed up the ladder past some much more talented guys that have been there longer and are already skilled enough to be at the level the wwe is trying to push Big E at, a level he just isn’t at yet.

I’ve heard that John Cena is a big bully backstage. He’s a nice guy on camera and to the public, but one of the biggest politicians, if you will, backstage. He truly is the modern day Hulk Hogan. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a creative control clause in his contract. If you’re friends with John, you’re all right. If not, good luck in your….. well, you know the rest.
