Hulk Hogan, who is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with TNA Wrestling last month, told friend and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart that one way or another, he will be at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“Hogan knew I was doing this press tour with WWE promoting the DVD,” Hart told Arda Ocal of The Baltimore Sun on Wednesday while promoting WWE’s upcoming The History of WWE: 50 Years of Sports Entertainment video release. “He told me to say exactly this: Hulk Hogan will be at WrestleMania if he has to buy a ticket and sit at ringside.”

Hart continued, “I think he can step into the ring one more time. We have a school in Florida, and he stepped into the ring there and did some stuff, and he looked great. As his friend, I’d be the first one to say, ‘Listen Hulk, do us a favor, just go out to the ring to Real American, say OK Brother, rip the shirt, do the pose, sign a bunch of autographs and people will still be just as happy,’ … but he does have a couple of good matches left in him, he really does. I’ve got my fingers crossed we see something at WrestleMania.”

Hart also named Cena as the WWE star fans surveyed at Hogan’s Beach Shop want to see Hogan take on. To read the full article, click here.

Hogan himself told Philadelphia’s ABC affiliate at an autograph signing last week that he “would love to be at WrestleMania XXX.”

“I would love to have a ringside seat. But, the truth is I need a job. I quit TNA. I’ve just been hanging out on the beach. Never say never,” Hogan remarked.

Oh God, yeah, that match bugged the sh*t out of me

Guys, did he ever say that he wants to wrestle at Wrestlemania? If he just said he has a couple of good matches in him then that could mean he’s “ready” to wrestle if need be! Gotta lie a little to be perceived as being “on board”. I don’t want to see him wrestle myself, It’d be like watching a Mae Young match.

Wow. Always so many comments about the Hoges.lol. I’d love to see how come back, that’ll probably put a smile on my face like I’m a little kid so I’m not complaining.

I honestly don’t think Cena would lose because the whole point would be for Hogan to officially “pass the torch.” Cena had no business ever losing to The Rock. A clean win over Hogan (whom no doubt will have the crowd solely behind him) would silence Cena critics once and for all.

Putting Cena over would also shut up a lot of Hogan critics as well. It’s all about pageantry, excitement, nostalgia, and seizing the moment. If you think about it very few of these mega-matches are exactly technical classics. There are a few exceptions of course like Austin/Rock WMX7, Bret/HBK WM12, HBK/Taker WM25, etc.

I do agree with that, it would be nice considering how many finishes Cena has essentially no sold in the last 5yrs or so lol. I always think back to him being ddt’ed on the concrete by the nexus at summer slam, followed by him very shortly after beating 2 or 3 guys by himself to win the elimination match and killing off any credibility they had built up.

  • millerj265

Im not sure why your telling me this I nvr said Cena could carry Hogan to any kind of match.

Quit TNA? Brother your contract expired you didn’t quit! TNA just offered you what your were worth not what you think your worth so you didn’t resign.

  • ddfindl

Problem with that is no one wants to see Joe Hennig wrestle Hogan at WrestleMania because that would be a waste of a potential big match. Maybe Bryan or Punk, but Cena/Hogan is more marketable and they are both so similar.

  • ddfindl

I wouldn’t book that match for Cena to lose; that would be ridiculous lol. I would prefer to see Cena/Undertaker, but it would be cool to see Hogan no-sell the attitude adjustment and Hulk up lol.

  • Ray Myer

Cena couldn’t carry him in the least. Joe Hennig or someone with some actual in-ring skill would be needed. CM Punk would be the best bet to carry someone like Hogan. Or Daniel Bryan. But John Cena? Lol, that actually made me laugh.

  • millerj265

I agree, but I don’t really wanna see Cena job to Hogan because it makes Cena and the whole roster look weak when the top guy who is billed as Superman cant beat a near 70yr old man, and if Cena cant beat him and the rest of the roster cant beat Cena, you got a roster full of guys then that just look beyond weak. But for nostalgic reasons, and because it would most likely be Hogans final wwe match ever I also don’t wanna see Hogan job to Cena, im sure the crowed would be furious at this as well. Its kinda a no win situation if it does end up being Hogan-Cena.

  • Greg

The problem is hogan can’t really bump anymore. That makes having a good match near impossible.

  • ddfindl

Cena is basically the only guy who could carry him and the match make sense considering they both have basic move sets and don’t do anything technical – Thats really the only match I could think of unless he did something with the nWo.

  • Sean Kaboni

he has a couple of good matches left in him??? good luck on finding those!! jimmy hart as lost it
