Jinder Mahal teases feud with John Cena

It’s been rumoured for a while that Jinder Mahal will be facing John Cena at SummerSlam this year and now Jinder himself is also teasing this feud.

The WWE Champion had an interview with Indian Express recently after he defeated the Viper Randy Orton in a Punjabi Prison match at Battleground PPV.

In the interview, he talked about how he put Randy’s Legacy to rest and teased that John Cena may be his next opponent:

“I put the Vipers’ legacy to rest. I beat a fourteen time World Champion three times in a row. Whose legacy am I going to put to rest? Maybe John Cena. He has a legacy of his own; I would like love nothing more than to use his legacy as a stepping stone and cement my own legacy,”

He also talked about the Great Khali and praised the former World Champion saying that he is like his elder brother and that he hopes Khali is happy with his performance at Battleground:

“He was the first person I contacted after announcing the Punjabi Prison Match. We are in contact all the time and he is one of my role models and I want to follow his footsteps. He has helped put India on the map of WWE and I hope he is happy with my performance at WWE Battleground.”
