Breaking: John Cena being sued by Ford Motor Company

John Cena

TMZ is reporting that the former 16 times World Champion John Cena is being sued by Ford Motor Company for allegedly selling his 2017 Ford GT car.

According to the lawsuit, Cena was selected from thousands of application for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT and he signed a deal in which he agreed to keep the car for at least 2 years.

However, the company claims that soon after receiving the car, the Leader Of Cenation sold it to a third party for profit. Here is a statement issued by the representative of the company:

“Mr. Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale.”

The lawsuit says Cena on his part claimed that he sold the car to pay bills. Though so far the former Champion has not made any public comments about the issue.

I agree with the fact that they are not owed damages per se, but if you sign an agreement, you are expected to honour it or accept legal ramifications.
Ferrari have similar rules on their cars too, and have done for years.

If Cena bought the car, and had to sell it to pay bills, then he could not afford to buy the car in the first place and should not have entered into the deal.
Somehow though, I doubt he needed the money to pay bills, so in this case he is the one making excuses to make profit.

As if Cena couldnt pay his bills without selling that car. The guy is a multi millionnaire.

Damages my ass, just another greedy company looking for an excuse for their own profit.
